Issues with .118 or ?

I don't really know where to post this, as I don't really know what of the several problems is/are cause and/or effect.

.318 is NOT playing well with remote logins. Either locally via an IP address or through myhomeseer. Is myhomeseer having difficulties? Access is slow to non existent.

Weatherxml appears broken under .318, too. At least I don't think I have changed anything, The following error(s) is/are thrown:

Adding Z-Wave nodes already in the network to HomeSeer

I am starting over after a factory reset. I enabled the plugin and there are already 15 nodes on the main Z-Wave network, probably left over from before the factory reset. There are no devices showing in Device Management.

What is the correct way to add these nodes to HomeSeer as devices?

Firmware update in hex

Greetings. I would like to update my dimmers with the latest firmware, but I don't run HomeSeer software. My controllers require .bin or .hex file formats to run the firmware updates for devices, but the firmware updates provided are .hec.

If I want to run the 5.19 firmware through this, how does one get a .hex based firmware update?

Simple Power usage plugin idea... No hardware needed.

Maybe this already exists but I haven't been able to find it.
With a competitors home automation software there was an add-on that would allow you to input your cost per kWh. Then you added a field to each device that let you input that devices Watts.

Once this was done the add-on would track the time that a device was on and calculate the total cost of that device. It then let you see graphs that showed you the cost of all of your devices over time.

Was very simple to set up and didn't require any 3rd party devices be installed.

I would love to have something like that again. But I do not have the time to learn how to create plug-in's for Homeseer these days.

3.0.0.318 Gone?

I was prompted to update to 3.0.0.318 on a restart yesterday morning. I was testing a change in configuration and restored from a backup from 3.0.0.317. Now 3.0.0.318 is no longer available. Was it pulled for a reason?

Showing decimal precision (even for .0) for devices

I have a custom vb.net app which reads values out of my PLC and will insert them into HomeSeer through the JSON calls. The virtual device has status text setup as a range from 0 to 150 with 1 decimal place. If the value is 69.72342, it shows 69.7. Great! But if the value is 69.0, it will only show up as 69. It drives me nuts. Is there any way to fix this show the decimal precision is always shown?

Actually, it looks like when I use the JSON call to send a value of "69.0", HomeSeer truncates it because the virtual device shows the value of 69 in the advanced tab. Another JSON bug, it appears.

Sonos Linked Status String Trigger

I am attempting to use easytrigger to monitor the sonos string for group status and then change a virtual device status so that I can then display that devices status in HSTouch.
Here is what I am attempting:


I see in the log the status changes but the event does not trigger.

I attempted to dumb it down to just "Bedroom" for the contain option but it still does not trigger.
Any thoughts? Any idea of an easy way to display group status of sonos in HSTouchh?

Hello, I currently have a system (Hometroller S6 Pro) at my current house which I installed and it consists of Z-Wave and Insteon mostly. However I have been having problems with the Zwave as I think I set something up wrong when adding the ZNet and the motion / multi-sensors (only Z-wave devices I currently have)

I also have HStouch, however don't have the time make screens and pages that fit my needs.

I'm renovating a new house that I'll being moving to soon and want to install Homeseer there as well.

I'm looking for someone who can come in and get my current system corrected and customize my Touch panels. Also I need to have new system that will be going into the new house set up as well with custom pages that coordinate with it.

I could figure this all out on my own eventually, but just don't have time to currently.

Zee will not initialize

I have had a Zee S2 for a few months and just switched to a z-net with HS3 for windows.

After a few tries I got my devices from the Zee to HS3 but something went wrong and now I can't even activate zwave on the S2. I get a yellow exclamation mark and all I can do is delete the controller and try over, to no avail.

I tried a factory reset. I can't believe that this thing died at this very moment. What else can I do other than return it for warranty. I want to give it to a neighbor to introduce him to z-wave.

Device string updates and easy trigger

Been trying to get easy trigger to trigger using the string content of the Sonos plugin.

Looks like easy trigger is unable to read the string do to settings in the sonos plugin.
Spud sheds some light in the thread above. Any chance I could get the dev of the sonos plugin to look at this real quick?

I would also be open to other ideas to display the group status of a player in hstouch.

New Limitless, MiLight, EasyBulb etc. Plugin

Hi,

I'm in the final stage of a new plugin called LimitLessLED

It supports the new Wifi iBox hub's(v6) for Limitless, MiLight, EasyBulb etc..

See image of the devices screen below. Please let me know if I'm on the right track ? What features would you like to see etc...
It's pretty basic now, but I don't like to implement all kind of fancy stuff which will be hardly used. The risk of bugs is higher and it will take a lot more time to develop and maintain.

But of course I will implement any functions that I didn't think of yet.

The protocol has been changed dramatically, but it's now future proof, modulair and can even support other type of (LED) lamps if necessary

Schlage locks won't connect to Z-wave after upgrading HS

I have the Schlage model# BE469 FW version Main_7.1

When I upgraded to HomeSeer 3.0.0.318 from 3.0.0.316 the lock stopped working. I deleted the devices and now it cannot find the lock on the node scan?
I also replaced the batteries and that did not work either?

Two root devices created for one node

I have two identical Aeotec ZW097 contact sensors. The first one I added has a root device and three children. The second one I added has two root devices - one with two children and the other with one child.

The two roots have the same name (Aeon Labs Notification Sensor Node 23 Root).

Other than removing the sensor and re-adding it, how do I fix this?

It may work okay, but I don't know what problems might happen later on.

Somehow I though the UltraRachio was working and I saw the last time all the device was last updated on 3/15/17? Does the last update get changed when weather gets updated?

Ring Camera Advantages?

I am considering getting a Ring camera (without the button) because I already have an intercom at my doors with a button. I am wondering what the pros and cons are between a Ring camera and BLRing compared to a IP wifi camera with a HS camera plug-in to detect motion. Is it possible to get the same functions that the Ring camera and Ring phone app provides with an IP camera plus HS and some other phone app?

Using Netcam with email or Pushbullet

Using a single camera and Netcam to send snaps with either PushBullet or by email was quite simple and I never experienced repeat images as long as I used a few seconds delay before sending the currentimage.jpg image file. However now as I add more cameras to the system I am finding there are a few Netcam bugs to work around.

So my first issue is not event clinic related but I wanted to discuss it here as many of you may have experienced similar behavior. In the Netcam View function of the plug-in as I change cameras the larger snap to the upper right of the snaps list shows the correct camera name but a different cameras image. I am wondering if there is some workaround that can be used to force updating of that snap.

The other thing I wanted to ask the group was related to deleting the currentimage.jpg file before taking a snap with Netcam. Currently if I send snaps from 3 different cameras and one camera is off-line Netcam just sends the currentimage.jpg file from the last good snap that was captured. My guess is that Netcam does not have the smarts to know the camera has a problem. It would be really nice if it generated some sort of offline image instead of showing the wrong image. Misinformation at its best.

Would deleting the currentimage.jpg file help Netcam deal with an off-line camera. So I am wondering how others have learned to work around these Netcam peculiarities. Any thoughts on overwriting the currentimage.jpg file with your own Offline.jpg image file at the beginning of a Snap sending event?

HSTouch app hangs when switching to playlist

I've been using this plugin for a while and really like it. Thanks!

There has been a problem for a while that I just lived with. It has finally begun to bug me.

If I am listening to all the songs for a given artist, maybe 20 or more, and then try to switch to a playlist, the HSTouch app seems to hang. When I then look at iTunes, there is a popup that says "You are about to start playback. Do you want to clear the 14 songs previously added to Up Next?". It wants a response from me. If I say Clear Songs, the playlist starts on the HSTouch app. Kind of a pain if I am not close to the iTunes server. I'm running ver 3.0.0.29 of the plugin.

Annoucements Taking Long Time

Hi
I have been successfully using this PI for quite some time. Thank you very much for creating.

I have recently run into very long delays from 4 to 6 minutes before hearing the announcements. In the past just a second or two was all the time it needed.

I have created a super debug log for your review. Test was to play "Garage Door Deb has Opened".

Please let me know if there is anymore info I can provide.

Oh, one more thing. If second message is queued before the first has played there is not a long delay before hearing the second message after the first. (Hope that makes sense)
